Michael Irvin thinks that the reason Tony Romo is doing so good is that one of his ancestors got it on with an african american...basically implying that (to me), caucasians aren't good enough to play sports at a high level as african american players...

Michael Richards makes racial comments in a night club during a show and gets roasted by all the anti racist groups...ect...(which he should IMO)...

Michael Irvin makes comments on a National radio broadcast...and you don't hear jack squat...

link

I am not too terribly irritated by this...honestly I could care less if it wasn't the fact that it was Michael Irvin, who is an ass hat to begin with...but I am suprised that I didn't see any type of news on the subject in the mainstream media...just boggles my mind

Is that really anywhere near the same level of comment? I don't think so.

No. And Kramer's comments weren't that bad either. And yet the stupid black kids are trying to sue him

Not on the same level as Kramer's because Kramer was trying to insult some hecklers and Irvin was making some off the cuff comments. It is on the same level as what Jimmy the Greek said though and Jimmy the Greek lost his job.

It's a money/power thing. Mel Gibson will be forgiven for his racist comments because he has money and whatnot. Kramer is just plain screwed. I'm not saying that either one should get off the hook. They are both jerks.

What's more is he apologized, and has offered to apologize directly to the two. When asked, the two stated, "That's not enough - we want to be compensated for it."

She ain't nuthin' but a gold digger... Not my lyrics... just calling them like I see them.

I don't know what's more tiresome - the outrage over Kramer's comments or the fainted weak "they do it too argument..."

/me thinks the OP is more upset than he'd admit.....

That was my line of thinking...

Like I tried to say earlier...I don't think Kramer should have said that stuff...who knows what he was thinking.

To say that it is ok is wrong, and the same should apply to Irvin...

and that train of thought is why a guy like Kramer gets roasted and not Michael Irvin in our society.

If I am upset at anything, it is NOT at the comments made, it would be towards one side getting heat for comments made and the other not being held to the same standard.

I would like to think I would feel the same way if the roles were reversed

Irvin's comments aren't any different than Limbaugh's comments a couple of years ago and he lost his job.

Exactly.

Don't forget Rush Limbaugh's comments either. The difference is a who gets a pass on those kind of comments and who gets fired.

Uhm, I don't know what you guys are smoking, but Michael Richard's comments were RACIST. Even racist people I know were like, "Damn, that was pretty racist."

One thing that Michael Richard's outburst on YouTube brought out is how many racist people there still really are out there. I'm very upset at the fact that there are so many people on Richards' side after that fiasco. Trust me, I have a great sense of humor and I don't care if people make fun of another people's race during a comedy sketch, or even in public when its in jest. Bottom line is Richard's was spewing straight up hate speech and somehow people think that's ok.

yobarman...that's not the point. The point is that Irvin is getting a pass for a racist comment.

Michael Irvin.s coments don't seem so bad to me.

I think Kramer's comments where really bad. However, I think he realized how bad his comments where and he seems truly sorry for his actions. The man has been apologizing ever since.

How does that justify Kramer's racist comments?
