Kraken x61 out of stock

What's the story on these? I go to buy one today and they are out of stock at all the usual places. Are these being discontinued or are they just really popular? I already have one in my main rig but I need to buy another one...

Yeah, looking at ebay looks like people are starting to jack the prices on these. They normally sell for $140 at newegg. The cheapest sellers on ebay now are selling for $180. I don't want to pay 40 dollars more than I have too. I'll give it a month and if they're not back in stock i'll start looking at other options.

Another example of market processes: I was just looking for a 60GB SSD as a caching drive for a large hard disk or array. There's a new Patriot Blaze (new -- to me) with an Egg offering at about $40. It uses a Phison controller. Some newer but late-coming brands of SSDs are commanding over $50, but use a Sandforce. It could be a new Sandforce, but you have to ask. . . . So I'm entertaining the possibility that the Patriot could be selling like hotcakes, and they're actually making more total net revenue with aggressive pricing than they might otherwise.

That still doesn't answer my questions (or those of others) about the Kraken, though.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it's the latest model.

The x61 is the latest model.

I think they're just popular. NZXT made some nice improvements in moving from the x60->x61, they have been benched and reviewed quite positively.
