KPax the movie, what the heck happened at the end of the movie? I don't really get it

Can someone tell me what happened in the ending? Bess seems to have dissapeared, but Robert Porter is still there...on earth that is. So my question is.....is Robert Porter from the planet KPax, or is he just human and really has psychological problems?

Ya I had problem understanding it as well, I can't see him being human considering he knew the star system so well when the scientitists didn't even know. So I'd say alien left his body and went back to KPax while he was just a host for alien

i thought the writers of that type of movie purposely left it vague enough that it is open to interpretation

ie they didn't make it clear on porpoise

so there is no answer to your question

I just found out from my coworker that there is a book, and that you will find out exacty what happened in the book. Perhaps they will make a sequel to this movie.
