Kow to change folder icons in Windows 7.

In My pictures folder I want the pictures to show the picture instead of some flowery thing.

I've tried everything. I'm new to Windows 7.

You'll have to be more explicit as to what you want to do as I don't quite follow what you are asking.
 
right click on the folder to bring up the popup menu
>click on "Properties"
>click on the "Customize" tab
>click on "change icon"
