I've never really had problems with games before, so I don't understand why this would happen. It could have just been a one-time thing, some off-the-wall computer screw up that wasn't even related to the game.
But in case it wasn't, I was wondering if crashing to the dekstop was a common occurance in KOTOR. I haven't followed the game much, and haven't read any message boards about it. In fact, I haven't played past the opening ship level. It was my friend who was playing a few levels past that the other day on my computer, when he crashed to desktop during the loading of a new level.
Playing it after Doom 3, the graphics were a bit on the hard-to-stomach side. Now I'm not a graphix wh0re, and being a Star Wars fan I'd still play this game even if it had 16-bit graphics. But since I have the hardware, and since graphics always help a good game be even better, I turned them up all the way. I have the AA/AF on all the way, the resolution at 1280, and all the special effects on. Sound all the way too, I think.
So I was just wondering what might have caused this? Any ideas?
