Order Grand Total: $8.88

i need an inexpensive [hopefully] decent sounding pair ... what else could i get for eight bucks?

good price

... and actually they are 'earbud' style, i believe

no, they're not buds, they create a seal with your ear which makes them in ear.

One computer magazine I recently read said that these particular headphones were better than some noise-cancelling headphones they'd tried.

thanks op, i needed some new headphones since my last ones broke (they were koss also, i got them from a deal here. i really liked them, but they were clip-on style, and one of the clips won't stay on the headphone anymore)

anyway, thanks for the nice deal.

i used a pair of these for listening to audible books from my tungsten... once u learn how to get them stuck in your ear right they are pretty good, especially for the price...

perhaps the issue is semantics:

what is the difference?

....one goes deeper?
:Q

they are both called 'plugs' ;)

The Koss ksc 75's have the entire audiophile community drooling and they are about the same price as these. They aren't in ear headphones though, but their sound quality is unmatched at the price.

i didn't like the sony's because of the soft coating on the wire... i go to sleep wearing them and the coating peeled off the wire...

as far as sound, i think that they are comparable...

Received my pair a few days ago and I'm going to order another pair for my brother right now. Awesome deal for just under $9.

Another good thing about Koss is the limited lifetime warranty (though for 8 bux it hardly matters on these...)

I had a pair of these a long time ago and hated them. The sound was horrible and they never stayed in my ears.

I used to have the original Koss "The Plug" earbuds, but they wouldn't stay in my ear. I couldn't compress the foam enough around the inner plastic tube to get it to stay in my ear. It was very frustrating.

My friend bought these. I tried them on, and compared them with my MUCH MUCH more expensive $200 set of etymotic ER4Sw/amp setup. Obviously it's not comparable. But depending on your tastes, you may like the koss spark more.
The koss sparks are really bass heavy, to the point where it was annoying. My friend likes bass, so he actually likes his sparks over mine. But there's a way around the bass problem. Just barely stick them in your ears. The amount of bass is proportional to how far you stick them into your ears.
