Kosher salt

I have no clue. What's kind of amusing is that I saw my mother cooknig a pork roast with kosher salt the other day.
 
I thought Kosher salt was salt without the iodine... My girlfriend made me buy some cause she likes it more than regular salt....go figure.

there are many different kids of salt and they taste different/are used in different cooking methods and recipies.

I thought salt was just salt, but apparently not.
 
I'm amused by "organic salt" and "sea salt" sold in crunchy grocery stores. The implication is that sea salt is better than that nasty salt from mines. The reality is that unprocessed sea salts contain all the toxins of the industrial age concentrated out of sea water while mined salt is at least free of human produced toxins.
 
I don't have table salt, i use kosher salt, and I only add salt in the cooking process, it really shouldn't be added after the food is cooked.

Mainly kosher salt is a "cooking salt"

I love it, it's got a great taste, much better than table salt.

I also buy whole peppercorns and have a grinder, tastes better.

I'm pretty sure it is your common everyday NaCl. It just isn't as processed.
