Have drank a Danish Coke made with pure cane sugar, I noticed the difference right off the bat. It's smoother for one thing, and less carbination. I like it smoother, I just don't want to continually pay that expensive price. One in awhile, it's nice treat.

<-- religious Jew

They susbstitue corn syrup just to make it Kosher for Passover. Passover rules are complicated. Coke with corn syrup is Kosher all year long.

doesn't a designated rabbi have to be on site where the product was made to have it be called kosher?

Not for the entire run of kosher product, just at the start to "certify" it as kosher.

Incorrect. He just has to be able to come and go whenever he wants to.

I was only going by my personal experience producing the kosher soda. At our plant the rabbi visited right before we started, then we never saw him again. I defer to your authority.🙂
