Starving people thru history have done this.
Though I now am suspicious of Russia banning US adoptions.

Why not make meat substitute using tofu?

Tofu is made from soy beans. Bad harvest and you've got no soy beans. North Korea was devastated by bad weather this summer.

I'd take anything about NK with a grain of salt. It's a horrible country to live it but cannibalism is stretching reality. Still if the country spent as much on their people as they do on their military, maybe nobody would be starving.

Impossible. The Dear Leader gave everyone free cheese burgers, after he invented them.

This article is horribly written.

I've noticed this about most news articles, anymore. It's pretty sad to think these people probably have degrees in journalism, literature, or some kind of English-related topic.

Eventually twitter and the news will just be the same thing.

Did you hear about the Korean who arrived late for the potluck?

They gave him the cold shoulder.

On some level I do agree, but I don't think that this is a stretch. Just from what we know about some of the things that go on in NK this is fairly tame.

Call me cynical, but to me the timing of this just smacks of the beginnings of a media offensive aimed at dehumanizing NK as preparation for their 'liberation.'

Don't get me wrong - if anyone needs liberation, it's the poor folk living in NK, but not at the expense of the world's view of their humanity.
