Korean vs. Japanese girls?

It was interesting to see what you guys said about Korean girls vs. Japanese girls. Well, let me give you a straight fact about what Japanese people and Korean people think about this "beauty" & "Hansome" issue.

1. Korean girls > Japanese girls.
2. Japanese guys > Korean guys.

Well, I'm a Korean guy and I sure belong to that less-hansome or ugly catagory when compared to Japanese guys. However, I do have pretty Korean girlfriend as there're many of beautiful girls around in Korea. My chance of dating and having a pretty girlfriend is quite high. Plastic surgery? It's true that some do get it just like other countries. It's not like many girls are getting it done.

On the other hand, my hansome Japanese friend is dating this short-and-ugly Japanese girl. Wonder why? Because there aren't that many cute girls available in Japan; Japanese girls are a lot shorter compared to Korean girls but they do have bigger boobs.

I have talked about this issue with many Japanese people and I can tell you that this is a fact.

But then again, I have noticed that "western" guys seems to have different percection. Whenever I see a white or black guy with Asian girls, it's amazing to notice that most of those Asian girls are just plain ugly that no Asian guys would actually wanna date them. It makes me wanna thank for western guys' sacrifices. (Special thanks to Nicolas Cage and Wesly Snipes daing that ugly ass Korean girls.)
My American friends in Korea, too, would go after these short-ugly chicks and it was just funny. I guess it's because they're looking for that "old-styled-Asian-figure" while Asians have adopted the the conception of western beauty; tall, glamourous, big eyes...etc. Like, When I see drawings of those beauties of some hundred years ago, they are, indeed, very very ugly. There's this famous Korean girl who controled the king with her power of beauty, well...she's just ugly. There's this famous Chinese girl who controled the king with her power of beauty, she's just ugly in "nowdays standard."

And, it's true that Korean girls are generally more matrialistic, argumentative, plus it's harder to have sex with Korean girls because of traditional confucianism values (It's changing, though)

As someone pointed out earlier, you'd notice the difference right away once you're in Japan and Korea. And, of course, there're always exceptions.

All the white guys I know that love asian girls grew up in the most whitebread parts of the country, so I think it has something to do with them being different or exotic. (they also like latinas as well)

I grew up in san diego which is a fairly diverse city, so to me asians are just asians, big deal, some are hot and some aren't. Not like a couple of my friends who think: Any asian=HOTT!

Oh and BTW I also agree with the OP, korean girls are generally hotter than japanese girls, but there are always exceptions, of course.

But you miss an important point. Each culture has a separate distinction for what features are deemed pretty or ugly.

I do know that many and many actresses do get a plastic surgery but I've never known any ordinary hot girl who's got a plastic surgery....And I'm from a city of 14 million population. Well, rumors are just rumors. Oh well...."Korean girls=plastic surgery", at least, doesn't sound as stupid as some peple saying that the best looking Thai girls are actually trans-sexuals and AIDS is invented by U.S government, so on and so on.

i don't know any japanese girls so i can't make any judgements... though there are some hot japanese models... ;-) moving on to nonasians with a asian girl... i see plenty of good looking asian girls with nonasians. /me strugs and i see asian guys with hot nonasians... ( rare but it happens )

Actually that is false. My aunt is pretty hot and spent most of her life in Taiwan. When she got accepted into a university in Wichita, she dated and married a Jewish guy.

Korean girls are freakin mean and snobby in NYC. Most are "riced" and go for the FOBiest guys there are (spiked hair, pale squinty eyes, leather jacket 2 sizes too big)

No offense, but I'd rather die (most probably be killed by her) than date a Korean girl.

i've never understood the attraction to caucasian women. I'm generalizing, of course, but a lot of them look, like, really old (late 10 early 20-somethings who look like 25-30). seriosuly, they generally have bigger facial features which sets them apart from being cute.

OP, you are overgeneralizing too much... plastic surgery is like a huge fad in korea; many girls feel no shame to admit they have gone thru the process of beautification, a trend that is slowly spreading to the male population

just how asian are you? i am inclined to think this is your version of asian beauty you chose to adopt, as most of my friends dont really give 2 sh!ts about how tall the girls are; on the contrary, many of them want a cute petite girl - usually short by nature.

you are probably right about the tougher luck with getting laid, but the other two aspects really depends on the person you are dating imo. a good reason not to find your soulmate at clubs

So have YOU been to japan? let me tell you I havnt been anywhere except Narita International Airport. but from what I seen so far, there are cute japanese girls and ugly korean girls and vice versa. hey i am a korean and i have dated a japanese girl once... according to what my friends in japan and other folks who have been to both countries say, japanese girls tend to be less 'normalized' in the sense they are not as uniformly ugly or pretty; some are SUPPPER cute yet there are some FUUUGLY ones around, whereas korean girls tend to be generally ok looking but not too many really good looking ones out there. dont get all worked up over this tho... i am just overgeneralizing like most others in this thread.

One thing I DO agree, however, is the fact that a good number of white dudes are after some girls a typical asian dude wont find attractive at all (Lucy Liu comes to mind :thumbsdown: )

Last but not least, the whole thing is just moot as you refuse to post any pics we could use for a fair judgement
