Korea & Japan so ahead of us

I personally dont like any watch,TV or camera phones, phone should be small and with clearest coverage available purpose is to communicate on it
 
"title is about korea and japan and post talks about hong kong?! " does it make any difference to you if i add china

i just dont like their poor quality on most of the stuff

I went to Korea about two years ago and the phones there then are now coming to the States, yay :disgust:
 
It's not just Asia that's ahead of us in moble technology, it's pretty much everyody else who has a cell network.
 
In terms of coverage, I know Japan has awesome coverage. I always see news of old men/women getting lost in some remote mountain, and being rescued after calling for help. I imagine Korea and HK would too. I don't think US would ever come close to matching the coverage capabilities of such countries, just because of the sheer area US has to cover (among other "political" problems).

If the US were the size of Japan, we'd have coverage everywhere including the remote regions of my best friend's mother's ass crack.

I disagree. They have actual begun to develop some usefulness than just taking pictures/streaming videos. I've seen this new application in which you can check your security system (your home) through your own phone! It was pretty nifty. You can check the status of open/closed windows, and get streaming videos of whatever room in the house. Granted you won't be able to do jack if a robber comes in, at least you'll be able to see what your kids are doing at home. 🙂

So you want to broadcast a live video feed from your home out over the airwaves? Lost was right, the reason you don't see that stuff in the US is because we wonder why the hell you would want it to begin with.
 
CEO at my wife's company (executive secretary) went to Japan for business.... he always has the latest and greatest gadgets. He whipped his cell phone out at the airport in Japan and was laughed at for the "ancient" technology he was using.

Are you kidding? It'd make my drive into work more enjoyable. Then I could watch a movie in my Excursions DVD player, talk on the phone, and catch up on the latest TV episodes. 😉

the french have the best cell phone coverage, as for the best cell phones, probably japan or korea...we should have the best network but its in part due to the american way of life: capitalism. With all the cell phone companies competing out there and "buying" more space on cell phone towers, its supposed to drive down the costs of cell phones and monthly fees, but at the same time its given us all a headache of network incompatibilities, handoffs, roamings, etc. just think if sprint, verizon, t-mobile, and at and t were all one network...
 
The japanese "bill of rights" is written in english.
They are just hyper-americans. Ultimatly doomed for throwing out their amazing cultural past.
It's really sad.
