Koolance Setup

Currently running an amd xp-m 2500 @ 2.55 ghz with a sk7 & torando. My temps range between 40 to 45 degrees C under full load. Looking at getting the Koolance Exos and the Koolance CPU-300-H06. Anyone have any knowledge to share and also I have heard you do not want to place the Exos unit on top of your case, problem is I am going to mod my case, little fiberglass and bondo, so it looks like one unit. Any help is welcome.

If you want real water cooling preformance, go with Danger Den's products. they seem to be the best. If you're not looking for extreme overclockability, the Koolance will be ok.

Would love to go better, but I have zero room in my case for water cooling parts. My only choices are external. For external Koolance the best and will it be better than my sk7 heatsink.

Koolance and Corsair offer some really good external solutions. personally i have only used the Corsair unit, and i can say that it is plenty of cooling even if your thinking about overclocking. i had a 2.4c overclocked to 3.6Ghz at 1.625v all day under one of those puppies. very easy to use, and i love the dripless disconnects. makes moving it to LANs really easy.

The Exos is a really GREAT cooling system. Check out how it beats almost every other kit on the market in properly performed benchmarks at www.overclockers.com. The CPU-300 block is a real beauty, and can pull 300 watts! I'm running two (yes two) 2.53GHz P4s on a single Exos -- the water line loops from one to the other -- and the systems stay on 7x24. Well made, excellent performers. Hard[OCP] rated it their cooling product of the year in Jan 2004. Don't be put off by reviewers who know little about liquid cooling. Go with the Exos - you won't be sorry.
