Hey guys, I'm really thinking hard about moving to watercooling for the first time. I think it's probably better for me if I had a good kit. The problem is, as most of you have probably felt at one time or another, lack of money. I can't really afford a good 'ol 300-400 dollar kit.
After rummaging through the net I found this nice prebuilt case system from koolance. The model is PC2-C, here's a review http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=313&redirect=yes
If some of you are wondering why you never heard of it, it's because i think it was discontinued in 2002 or 2003. It looks decent though and I found it for like 180 bucks or so CDN, perfectly in my price range. I was wondering if such an old product would work with current gear. My specs are in my sig, but basically i wanna get waterblocks for my x2 4400+ and hopefully my X1800XT although i'm fine with my Arctic Cooling X2 right now.
I thought it shouldn't be that different and would probably still work fine as long as i had the right waterblocks, is that correct? Do you think such an old model from koolance would be able to keep up, or is the new stuff THAT much improved?
Any comments or input is much appreciated guys and if you have any alternatives for me in the say 150-250 dollar range for the whole setup i'm all ears. 🙂
