Hey fellas. I've got some Koolance lovin questions.
I really want a Koolance with the new antec case. Thing is I want black. How hard is it to paint a case? What paints are suggested? I really don't want to pay that much for a case and screw it up. I was thinking of getting a black antec regular case and switching everything I could from the black to the white case. How is the Koolance top unit mounted? Is it just cut into the case top? Would the top unit be hard to paint?(e.g. lettering, etc) I'm not very experienced with painting. Or does anyone know of a place I could get it custom done? I was thinking of emailing it to designcomp.com and get him to paint it, anodize the inside and put a window in. Any suggestions? Thanks fellas.

Go with some automotive spray paint from your local auto parts store. Works great! Just do very light coats, and you shouldn't have a problem.

You should do this project on your own and read up on it a little. MaximumPC had a good article awhile back. I did mine(click sig link below) and didn't have too many problems. The hardest part for me was taping and masking but even that was not hard. I also used auto spray paints, metallic blue inside and metallic gray outside. Post pics if you can. Good luck.

Here's an article over at Virtual-Hideout.net I strongly recommend that you read it. The case used was also an Antec SX-1030, so that should help a lot...
