I am thinking about buying a Koolance (PC2-C) for my main machine. Please give me your oppinions and experiences with this case. Nightmares, leaks or other problems.

Also:

1. Can I replace the fans in the top cooling module with Pandflo FBA08A12H fans?

2. Can one or two 80 mm Panaflo FBA08A12H fans be added in the front of the case above the water resovoir?

2a. Will the fans be any benefit (they will be hooked to my digital doc 5 for control)?

2b. If they will be any benefit should they be intake or exhaust?

3. Is there any reason why you can not paint the inside of this case (I have painted the insides of others but any reason specific to
this case)?

4. Would putting 2 Panaflo FBA08A12H's be of any benefit on the side (left) of the case?

4a. Intake or exaust?

5. Can you (or have you) used the hose clamps like you use on your car with this set up?

I am thinking about making a dual window mod in the left side of the case. One window down by the resivoir (to check the level without opening the case) and another larger window to see the computer guts. I would like to put some kind of light behind the larger window and no light behind the smaller one.

I also plan on adding an (yes you guessed it) Panaflo FBA08A12H in the rear of the case as an exhaust.

Also what P/S do you recommend.

Does all this sound like a good idea or am I duct taping christmas tree lights to a ferrari?

Thank you

well, I got the rev2 when it came out and it is great. About the fan questions I'm not sure about replacing them, since I got not done it YET. but I have taken the top off and messed around and it seams that you can replace the fans with better ones. There is a fan grate in the back and I currently have one outtaking and it really helps with the case temps, in the front though there is really not spot unless you want to do same case modding, which is always fun. I already did some mods to my case, a windows and a blacklight:

I dont mind the modding, as long as it is not rebuilding the whole case. Cutting a hole or two for a fan is not a problem as long as there is room. Anyone have the "engineering" diagram for this case?

Thanks again

If I remember correctly my system temps are 44 degrees according to my digital doc 5 (which is not hooked up to my cpu right now). My system specs are listed on my rigs page.

Simply put,

Best $200 I have ever invested.

My 1.4 Tbird runs full load at 29C now...Compared to 40 with Alpha 8045

Great case. See SIG for temps.

First I have a Panaflow L fan above the Water reservoir for circulation. Remove the bottom hard drive cradle then slide the fan and cradle back into place. I also have a Pana L exhausting the case and a Pana L pointing at my GeForce 3 to cool the memory.

I plan to at some point to replace the stock three fans with Panaflow H series. Remember the Koolance controller drives the fans at 45% power so the fan would still need to move enough CFM. The U unit might be a better fit.
