Hi,
I was wondering, which out of the above two external liquid coolers is better. Ive seen mixed reviews for both, and cant decide.

At OCUK:-
Corsair HydroCool200+CPU Block £195.64

At OC Store:-
Koolance EXOS £182.11
CPU 200 Gold £41.12
GPU Cooler £22.32

Assuming i was to get the Koolance, would buying all the above listed parts be all i need? Do they all come with everything i need to assemble the system, apart from the water, obviously.

BTY, in the UK, where can i buy distilled water from?

well, i've been reading a lot of reviews about the hydrocool and they are all very good EXCEPT for the hardocp one which makes the hydrocool seem like a horrible product. overall, i think EXOS is prolly a better bet

There are a couple more bad reviews of the hydrocool out there, I posted one in a previous thread. It seems like the hydrocools waterblock is a poor design. QC issues seem to be poppping up with the fact that some sites have gotten waterblocks that are concave.... These are the places that gave it sos-so reviews.

I presume you could use a different water block with either the Exos or the Hydrocool? If this is so, I would probably get the Hydrocool and get a Swiftech block.

Ive asked at the place that sells te Hydrocool200, if its possible to use the AseTek Blocks they sell with the Hydrocool, and according to them, you cant.
The Block on the EXOS is supposed to be pretty good actually, its one of the best blocks out.

From various reviews of both systems, i get the idea that the Koolance is better.
I plan on OCing my CPU with it, XP1800, it`ll hit XP1900 fine, and XP200 for a while, but the FSB would be 145mhz at the point, and KT7A-RAIDs are known for not doing over 140mhz very well. Im confident that with better cooling (ie water), and with a new mobo, that i should be able to hit 2000mhz fine.

So, should i go the full hog with it, ie, CPU & Northbridge & GPU, or should i just use the Koolance for the CPU, and get something like a Zalman HP for the Video card, and use my existing Zalman Northbridge cooler?

Is your xp1800 a t-bird or a t-bred? If it's a t-bird, I definately would not waste money water-cooling it.

Not sure what it is, but im sure that with a better mobo, it`ll OC quite well, becides, im looking to the future with the water cooling system, i can use it on my future systems. All i`d need is a new water block for each different socket type. Plus, water cooling is near silent, in most cases.

no frys equivalent in the uk eh? you can get a 2400+ and a m/b for less then 99 bux here. water cooling a 1700+ seems like a waste. generally people can oc the 1700+ tbred to 2600~ pretty easy anyhow.
