Koolance EX2 Liquid cooling vs Thermaltake V1 CPU Cooler

I am in the process of building a i7 920 rig that I would like to get going to 3.8 or higher (4.0 if possible). I purchased a Thermaltake V1 air cooler because I was trying to go simple. However I do have a Koolance external liquid cooler from my old rig that I am wondering whether I should re-use. What would you do in my shoes.
