Koolance? Decent complete system

I am undecided about which AMD64 processor I am going with but I want to jump into watercooling but don't have the time or desire to custom build a machine. I don't mind low to medium noise. I don't want the screaming jet for overclocking though LOL. I have around 400.00 to spend. I definitely would like a prebuilt system. I have a x800xt plat and I probably would like to overclock that as well. Any suggestions help would be great, thanks.

Ignore all the people who say they arent that good, most have never tried them. Mine suffers at the hands of 2 x 2500+'s mobile at 2.4 ghz / 1.775v and handles it well.

I just setup a Koolance EXOS last week and really like it. I am using the new 300 watt CPU water block and a northbridge block. I have a GPU block also but just got my X800 XT PE and am too faint-hearted to take it apart just yet. At any rate it is very easy to install and setup, it took me a while but it was my first experience with water so I took things very slow. I bought the EXOS unit seperately used from a hardware site that used it for a review, it is the older steel model, I got the newer CPU and Northbridge blocks from Koolance, if i were doing it all over I would go for the new Aluminum model as it has some other improvement besides lighter weight. It is quiet but not silent, my Zalman 7000a was quieter. Anyhow, well pleased with the EXOS, I am getting great temps and according to Koolance's own instructions there is very, very little maintainence involved.

Do you all think I could get my FX-53 939pin to 2700 or 2750 with the Exos?

I have no idea, possibly if heat is holding you back. I Have not gotten a higher OC with my EXOS on my P4 3.2 @ 3.6. I knew I was hitting a wall with my CPU/memory and with my old Zalman I didn't think heat was what was holding me back and honestly didn't expect a higher clock with the the EXOS. The MBM temps are about 7-8 C cooler under load than with my Zalman which was an excellent cooler. I actually used to run it at 3.712 stable but have never been able to get that speed again after a BIOS flash, don't know whether the new BIOS is holding me back or I forgot a setting. 🙁

thier ok but you can get alot more for your money if you put together your own kit

When I was looking at kits it became obvious that no matter which one I picked it wouldn't have just what I wanted in terms of every component. If being able to configure everything to your liking is important to you it's better to buy parts.

well thats what I meant by putting together your own kit

If you would have taken the time to read with a critical eye you would have been able to tell that I was agreeing with you. Stop trolling for conflict, please.

I am running two Koolance cases. Pc2-601 and Pc2-650. Love them both. The 601 is 13 months old and no problems, the 650 is 3 weeks old and so far no problems
