No PostScript or PCL, but it should work ok with linux (unlike the $299 Oki C5150n in my other thread, tho that one does have network jack)

Anyone have the experience to compare this to the HP 2550 in terms of quality and ease of service? Been kicking around the idea of the HP 2550 ($400 at NewEgg), or a dirt cheap HP 4500 from a local seller that likely needs a couple hundred $ investment...

The hp 2550 takes about 10 seconds for the first page out, the Konica minolta 1 minute and one second, I tested them at office depot. The Hp is a single pass printer, whereas the minolta is a four pass, has more moving parts, more that can break on you. However I was impressed with the quality of the color print on the Minolta. I am pondering buying one or the other and am leaning toward Hp for relialbility. Just can't choose quite yet. :) Go to Office Depot, they will let you try them out. On a side note, the toner for each is the same as the price for the printer and the HP comes with full toner, I think, not positive, the minolta comes with starter cartridges.
