Kodi stops marking stuff as watched

I noticed every now and then, Kodi will stop marking stuff as watched even after it's watched. Resetting the whole Raspberry Pi will fix the issue for a few episodes, then it will stop marking it as watched again. Anyone else experience this with Kodi, is there a fix?
 
Do you stop the video early? I think I have my Kodi set to a minimum of 15 minutes before it considers the episode or movie watched.
 
I usually let it run through to the end, as I was thinking maybe it's why it was not marking as watched but it does not seem to matter. We had a power outage the other day so I turned off the UPS and reset it and now it's marking as watched again, but after a while it will just stop doing it, it's weird.
