LAS VEGAS, Nevada (Reuters) -- Photo company Eastman Kodak Co. Wednesday unveiled a high-end digital camera that can e-mail pictures using popular wireless technology that works in public coffee shops and businesses as well as homes.
Kodak's 4-megapixel Easyshare-One, with a touch-screen, too, will be available later this year for about $600. A card to let the camera work with Wi-Fi wireless technology, will cost another $100.
Kodak is trying to find new ways to reach customers as it transforms itself away from its declining traditional photographic film business.
Kodak's Ofoto service for Internet photo printing will be accessible wirelessly from the new device, announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The new camera will also be able to view photos stored on Ofoto.
The camera has 256 megabytes of memory built-in and can store up to 1,500 pictures, as well as record video.
Separately, T-Mobile USA Inc said that Easyshare-One users will initially receive free trial to T-Mobile's public Wi-Fi wireless access systems.
