Just got the flyer from officemax, after getting sick of replacing the cartridges in my cannon POS every time I want to print I fell for the ads Kodak has been running lately, the cartridges seem huge and cheap.

They have 3 printers, $109 gets you the basic printer/scanner, $149 adds wireless, and the one I got was $159 (add a fax and sheet feeder to the scanner).

The kicker is, if you bring an old cartridge in its $50 off (coupon is supposed to be required but the store I went to didn't require it)

A very hot buy at $109 for a fax/printer/scanner with very low ink cost.

Yes, the GF managed to scan a document over wifi with no help from me. It also had an internet connection (hardwire) and USB which the salesweasel said would work faster.

The way I read the ad, was that those prices were after the $50 off for bringing in an old inkjet cart. Without that, add $50 (fine print....hate it!!).

That's all well and good, if you actually have an OM nearby. My closest one is 90+ miles away! Pretty sad, since I live in a city of 100K+ people, imho. Even getting the good gas mileage my car gets, it would still cost me ~$15 in gas, plus 3 hours of my life, to save $50.

Not crapping on your deal, lurk3r, just saying it might have been nice if OM would have made an option for the $50 back in a MIR, if you sent in an old cartridge (similar to a deal I did once for a video card, where I had to send in an old video card).

It was not a mir, and the coupon applies after purchase, I paid $109 for the $159 printer

Yeah, I know it wasn't a MIR. I said it would be nice if it were, for those of us that don't have an Office Max nearby.

I also wanted people to be sure to bring in the inkjet cartridge, because that's how you get $50 off the price. If you look at your original post, you gave the prices, then told people about the $50 price reduction for the cartridge. Someone might easily think they'd get that $109 for $59 with the inkjet cart.

Just trying to make sure people got the deal straight. Not trying to step on your toes, man. :)
