Kodak or Olympus???

I'm trying to decide on a birthday present that my parents will purchase me, but I believe I have to keep costs below $200. I've looked at some cameras and the following three seem in my price range and have gotten nice reviews.

Olympus D-360L
Olympus D-460 Zoom
Kodak DX3500

Which one should I go for? Are there other cameras that I should look for? I don't know much about cameras, so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have the Kodak DX3500. It's a really nice camera with a decent amount of features. I am more than satisfied with it. I can't speak for the Olympus but I hear they are nice as well.

Olympus. The quality difference is noticable in the camera build as well as the photos taken. I agree with Strawberrymom tho, the Fuji is the better choice for a point and shoot, which is what you will get at the $200.00 price point. It takes amazing pictures for the price. I've seen them for $180.00ish places.

Well, I went and purchased the Kodak DX3600 for $250. I already have a CF Media Flashcard from my iPaq (32mb). It's 2.2megapixels, I checked the image quality to a comparibly priced Fugi camera, and it looked better. Overall it was rated a good camera, easy to use, and takes great pics in various locations...outdoors, indoors. Would you have made a different buy, if so what?

Olympus uses better lenses than any of the DX kodak series. They aren't great. Both those models you mentioned are last year's models, and only come with a serial connection. You should look at the D-370, which is a 1.3 megapixel digital with USB connection. I would look at Canon, Nikon, Olympus, and Sony for good cameras. I would also prefer a good 1.3 over a cheap 2 megapixel camera.
