Kodak EasyshareV530 Error: 43

Hi. I just borrowed a camera from someone who entrusted it to me to have the images we took, uploaded online Asap. He gave me his 300 dollar camera, I used it later at night. As soon as I turned it on, I tried using the Zoom Feature. The lenses moved out of the camera and the battery died. I turned it back on and it said: Camera Error # E45 See user's guide.

I plugged it into its charger, and it is still zoomed out, & everytime I turn it on I get that error. I did NOT drop it, poor any type of liquid even near it. It only moved a few feet since I've had it. It worked initially. I dont want to be the bearer of bad news to this girl who cares for this camera as if its her baby. If there's anything I can try, please let me know.

Buy a new camera for her, I doubt she has the serial # written down! 😛

There's gotta be something. I mean I didn't do anything but plug it into my computer! It uploads pictures fine.
