Buy.com has it for $248 + $14.50 shipping. But, Dell has it for $260 shipped after 10% coupon and $25 off coupon and included $14 tax:| to NC. Guess I'll get it from Dell.com. And buy.com is on backorder anyway.

Haven't used the 3600 but i do have a 3500 and i like it ok. It is simple easy to use and takes pretty decent pics. the differences between them i believe are primarily the optical zoom and the digital video capability. If you are getting it get the docking kit. The dock comes with a rechargeable battery pack and built in charger unit. If you want to see any examples of the picture quality pm me with an email and i will send you some i have taken.

I've been looking at this camera too, and from the user reviews I have read it seems to be a pretty good camera. On Cnet it got a 98% approval rating out of 100 users, and on dpreview.com it got 4 out of 5 stars. It seems for the price it can't be beat. It's kinda nifty how it has 8mb of internal memory.....sorta like a backup.

I picked one out for my sister to buy a month ago. Got it from NECX (Gateway store) and it was $255 shipped after a coupon. It is a very nice camera. The dock is a nice accessory also, especially if you don't already have a set of NiMH and a charger.

I have the DX3600 with docking station and am QUITE satisfied with it....

The only complaint I have is it's poor macro ability... but this was remedied with
the optional 17x magnifying lenses.....

What I don't like about it is that it feels cheap (plastic) and looks more like a kid's toy.

It uses compact flash CF. Kodak sells up to 192 meg cards for it but don't specifically say that is all they will handle. I expect that they are fully capable of using a 256 meg card. All digicams in the same class at the Kodak are made of plastic. How is that cheap? It is a very nice working compact digicam. What you mean is you don't like the aesthetics. To each his own i suppose doesn't make it cheap though.
