Kodak's seem to be made with ease of operation over picture quality. I don't have experience with that model, but you can check out the sample images from it on Amazon:
Canon IMO has the best images, but the a630 is going to cost at least $100 more than that Kodak. I have the Canon a620 and it is definately the best camera I have ever owned. I've had it a few weeks and I am still figuring out all the settings and options, but its a great camera. I got it on clearence at Staples for $199 and it came in a bundle with a Canon color printer, which I thought was a great deal.
