this is a repost from someone's thread 1-2 days ago

office max has this camera for 399.98 and officedepot has it for 299.99
OM 115% low price guarantee will bring the price down to about 255
then 20% msn reward will bring it to about 200

how's this camera? is it worth to buy it?

i saw a post somewhere here saying that msn reward is not cash, if it's not cash, may i know what is it?

I bought that camera about 9 months ago for $350 and I've been pretty happy with it. For the price (especially now) I don't think you can go wrong.

You have some bad math going on though. The 115% low price guarantee is on the _difference_ in price. So at most OM would give you $115 off, making it $285. You would then get about $56 back.

MSN rewards dollars will be given to you sometime in February and you can only use them on MSN Wallet purchases. http://rewards.msn.com

The problem is that I ordered this and I still haven't received any confirmation on the price match...
It should happen, but its been about 2 days already...

Hope this goes smoothly...

I just bought a kodak 4900 for $349 at staples and it came with an hp photo printer free after rebate. They said any digital camera over $200 qualified for the deal so you could go with a cheaper camera if you wanted.

I'd like my next camera to have at least 3x optical zoom. Good pictures of people need 100mm (35mm camera) equivalent which is ~3x...

Ben, I also just bought this last night (12/21) at staples BUT I went in looking for the Olympus d550 and they were out of it so they said the corporate office told them to substitute the DX4900 kodak for the 299 olympus price AND they added a free 64 mb CF card for free (this weeks sale) -- SO, BEN, I'd suggest you go back to staples NOW and get the 64 mb cf card AND get a $50 credit as well. (I also heard that they are giving a $30 gift card for every purchase over 150 this week at staples -- maybe you can get that too if you are lucky!)

Jim
PS -- let me know if you would like me to email you a copy of the receipt if you think that will help.
