I don't have the download cable for this camera, but I need to get some pics off it..

Does anybody know of any connection diagrams for this camera, or cameras that use the same method of connection?

The connector is a 1/8" mini jack. The cable has a 3-segment plugin.. It just so happens that I have such a 3-segment plugin laying around. I also have a serial cable.

It shouldn't be too hard to get things hooked up, but I need to know which pins on the serial cable to hook the pins comming out of the camera into.

Anybody?

what does it use? CF or SD? readers are like $10-$20...

He was probably using the internal memory.

I have one of the cables somewhere around here...

[EDIT]Actually, come to think of it it's at my parents' house...[/EDIT]

don't the kodaks use that easy dock thing??

it's like 80 bucks at best buy. kind of expensive if you ask me.

damn internal memory...

I don't have a reader, the owner of the camera does.. It's just a pain to cart the camera back and forth everytime it's full.

I was pretty sure I could MacGyver something up..

Since there's only 3 connections, it can't be too hard..

Maybe just Ground, Recieve Data and Transmit Data?

Or maybe Request to Send, Recieve Data and Ground.

I really have no idea. 😛

Where? Maybe. But I don't really have an extra 10$....

Maybe if I could find one for 5 bucks, lol.

It's just a serial cable. I looked in the box from mine and it was gone (?), or you'd have been welcome to it. I bet whoevers camera it is would let you have it, since if they have a CF reader, they'd likely never use this cable. Maybe someone else with this camera has one? Good luck!

edit- Oh,wait...you already Have the cable, sorry i mis-read your first post.

It's not just a serial cable.... one end is a 3-segment 1/8" male plugin.... the other end is a 9pin male serial connector.

I was just wondering if anybody knew which 3 pins the 3 connections connect to.. lol

If I found that out, I could just make my own.

According to my manual, the DC3200 uses the same RS-232 serial cable, so i think you're good to go.

I don't know.. I thought maybe there was only Tx, and the other one besides ground was Carrier Detect or something.. had no idea how Kodak had it setup. 😛

But, I do report.. Success! 🙂

Thanks guys.
