Kodak CD's still on sale

With the comments in the current TY CD deals thread about the quality of Kodak CDs, I thought I'd bring back up a couple of older threads:

Kodak CD thread 1
and
Kodak CD thread 2

These refer to a still on-going Kodak on-line sale on their Ultima disks : a spindle of 50 x12s for $15 ($.30 each), and 2 40 packs of x24s in rainbow slimline cases for $28 ($.35 each, including case). These are straight sale prices - no rebates involved. About twice as much as some of the TY deals (if you can find them...), but perhaps of interest to Kodak fans.

Good post, as I think that Kodak CD-Rs are of the highest quality. At these sale prices, you are getting a lot for your money. I have done extensive research on the quality of CD-Rs and have come to the following conclusions. The top three manufacturers of CD-Rs are, Kodak, Mitsui & Taiyo Yuden. It would be hard for me to choose between Kodak & Mitsui, as they are of similar state-of-the-art quality. I would rate the Taiyo Yudens a close third, as they are also of excellent quality. It's really too bad that Kodak is getting out of the CD-R media business.
