I searched for Kodak and couldn't find it, so don't flame me if it's a repost.

They have the Kodak 3200 at CC for 129 and there's a 70 rebate.

Not the BEST camera, but good for a kid to play with or something.

Weighs 7.6 oz, has LCD, flash, 2x digital zoom (no optical), 1 MegaPixel.

Saw it today at the store, rebate is good till 12/31.

Do you happen to have a link to the rebate?

I found it thanks. Its on circuit city's website. It just took a little searching.

No, I didn't buy it, I just saw it. I am sure you can find it at circuitcity's site or Kodak's site if you care to search.

are you sure? I saw it today and it said "rebate good until 12/31" If it's only for cameras 11/23, I better go back tomorrow and pick it up and take advantage of this " pricing error".

You are right, this is a good deal after rebate.
I didn't want to spend $100+ on my sister for Christmas since I'm too poor (and I doubt she'd spend that much on me). But $60, that's not bad and she's expressed interest in a digital camera too. I just hope they have them locally!!!
Only problem I can see is that my sis has a G3 Mac and this camera doesn't mention anything about working with Macs.

Get in on this great deal folks, today is the last day. I picked one up for my daughter, and for the money (after MIR), its a GREAT camera.

By the way, folks, this camera produces nice enough images to load into your Kodak Smart Picture Frame. I took this camera to Hershey Park and snapped pics of the kids and loaded them into the frame later that day. Saved me the cost and delay of film processing and made the wife happy as she now has plenty of pics in the frame.

As others have mentioned, the camera chews through batteries and the built-in flash just burns out any subject that is at typical portrait distance. You can fix the first problem with NiMh batteries, the second with a piece of paper taped over the flash. I have also noticed that the white balance seems to get confused when the flash fires. It appears that it adjusts for ambient light but then gets fouled up when the flash fires. For example, a non-flash pic under tungsten lighting looks fine with white balance set to "auto" but has a bluish cast when the flash is fired. Easy to fix in Photoshop or other packages but still a pain.

Overall, it's a great deal for the price.

Note as well that the price is down to $119, so it's $50 after the rebate. Ordering mine now, should be a good replacement for my Epson PhotoPC :D

Edit: With shipping and Tax, my order came to $133 and change. Shipping was $6.78, I could have probably driven to the store for that much, but my time in doing so (at least 2 hours) is worth more then that :)

Mr Bond, Thanks for the update!
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and called up circuit city jsut now, gave them the receipt # and they credited my credit card and faxed me a receipt to show the $10.62 that will be refunded to me.

Didn't have to leave the house and it only took a couple of minutes!

NICE!

Their rebates are very slow. I had couple of them that took over 3 months!

Picked this guy up last week and it works great. Had I not read this forum, I wouldn't have known about the price reduction! Thanks!

BTW: Picked up a 64MB CF card from Dell with their 10% and Free Shipping, ~$25 shipped! (not as good as the Amazon deal, but I seem to be missing the boat on all these deals lately)

NOT!

Circuit City ALWAYS take the stated time on the rebate form to send your rebate. However, even though they are extremely slow, they are also reliable unlike New Rochelle. If you submit the required information, rejections are rare.

I guess we are going to need a card reader to speed up the transfer process. Any recommendations???

badluck - You should get a 6-in-1 reader, sure is nice being able to read SmartMedia, CompactFlash, Sony Memory Stick and 3 other types of media with ONE single reader which is powered through the USB port!

Thanks for the deal. I ordered mine this afternoon. Looks like we have to wait for the UPC to apply for the rebate. You'd think there would be a way to get around that since we just finished ordering it at their site.
