The best thing about the Kochs is the way idiots get all red-faced about them. It'd be funny to see news reports of people blowing blood vessels and dying due to Koch hate.

True or false : Koch Industries employes people.

True or false : Those employees get paid from profits made by the companies of Koch Industries.

True or false : Those employees spend their pay on products made by other companies which employ other people for pay.

And the cycle continues. THAT is trickle-down, and denying its existence is foolishness.

And yet more and more the money flows upwards, wages have been frozen for years and it's getting more and more difficult to find a job, let alone a job you can have for 30 years and make enough to retire.

Are we supposed to work for the scraps they decide we deserve and hope to god we have enough left over to retire? The majority of the money in the country is NOT going to the middle or lower class and it's been that way for a few decades now. It's only going to get worse.

Combination of outsourcing and high immigration. Cut demand and increase supply and prices drop every single time.

Bernie Sanders on Koch:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rep-bernie-sanders/who-are-the-koch-brothers_b_5165995.html
Here is what every American should be deeply concerned about. The Koch brothers, through the expenditure of billions of dollars and the creation and support of dozens of extreme right organizations, have taken fringe extremist ideas and made them mainstream within the Republican Party. And now with Citizens United (which is allowing them to pour unlimited sums of money into the political process) their power is greater than ever.

And let's be very clear. Their goal is not only to defund Obamacare, cut Social Security, oppose an increase in the minimum wage or cut federal funding for education. Their world view and eventual goal is much greater than all of that. They want to repeal every major piece of legislation that has been signed into law over the past 80 years that has protected the middle class, the elderly, the children, the sick and the most vulnerable in this country. Every piece of legislation!
And it's worth noting that papa Koch was a founding member of the John Birch Society.

We weren't supposed to be a nation that buys the vast majority of our products from foreign companies. If we started buying more stuff made in America by American companies then we will have more manufacturing jobs which means less people applying for cashiers & burger flippers. Demand for workers goes up and therefore the wage will go up.

Who knew buying cheap imported crap had consequences.

This whole Koch thing is just yet another attempt by the progressive left to demonize those that are "upsetting their plans". All of this is just so damned juvenile that it should be laughable except for the level at which they operate. Supporters of conservative causes whether they be business people, radio hosts, news networks, publications or even the average Joe are to be belittled, berated, drug through the mud, lied about and publically demonized to the greatest extent possible.

There is no quarter given to those that do not agree with the progressive left. Their methods of extreme control have through the ages led to nothing that could even remotely be considered good. What a shame that history repeats itself in seemingly endless cycles. What a shame that censorship for the good of the party could become desirable by legions of Americans. Desirable by people whose ancestors left their countries seeking freedom.

So, we are destined to repeat the mistakes of history. Perhaps this is just the fate associated with human behavior. The rise and fall of the U.S. empire is being orchestrated to cheers from those too ignorant to see the danger in it. They celebrate it because they live only in the here and now and have given no thought to what comes next.

Maybe we can all go back to before we had all these evil corporations. You know, the ones that provide food on your table. Over 300,000,000 people in the US can go back to hunting wild animals for food.

I had no idea it was the executives at mega-corporations that grew the food, picked it, processed it, transported and sold it to me. I wonder what people did back in the day when CEOs didn't make 450x the average employee.

I guess, no one on the planet would have any idea what to do if they didn't have some finance douche CEO telling them what to do everyday of there lives. Except, I have been in many meetings with the Senior VPs and the COO of my company (major 75k+ employee company), and it is almost always the level 2-5 engineers telling them what they should do and them blindly agreeing.

This is what I find so ironic about the left. For a party that preaches compassion/understanding, if you don't fall in line with their thinking than they kick you to the curb without a care. You will be considered a terrorist, hatemonger, or racist if you don't conform to what the left wants to ram down your throat.

I guess you can't spell progressive without "SS".

Isn't it asking too much of the left to treat terrorists, hate mongers and racists with compassion/understanding? ;)

Only temporarily. You do understand cutting demand and increasing supply ultimately leads to increased unemployment if that scenario continues for any length of time. No company in its right mind would ever continue production of any good well beyond demand. And to reduce supply, you reduce production. And to reduce production, you cut hours worked, workers employed, sometimes whole shifts of work.
