Not entirely true. Some people react worse than others.

I just got back from ROTC Basic Camp at Fort Knox. One of the cadets there got bit by a brown recluse. He swelled up a bit (worse than a normal spider bite), but nothing worse than that.

Also, they do have some medicin they can give you to help flush out the venom, or counteract it or something.

But yah, you want to avoid being bitten if at all possible.

True, but people don't usually know WHAT they have been bitten by. And by the time things get bad, not much can be done. True also that some people react to the bites worse than others. This guy reacted poorly to say the least! :Q
