Kobe makes Yao his poster boy!

i wouldn't say Yao is his poster boy from one dunk. If you saw the last Hou-LA game you would have seen how many shots Kobe tried to take thinking he was the sh*t only to miss it.

Yao messed up. it happens. Did you see Kobe's face after the dunk, how he tried to look hard because of that? He could have been humble about it, but no, he had to make a face like 'i'm the sh*t.'

Yao has made his own awesome plays. Maybe they aren't in your face like this one, but thats because he's not like that. He's a much more modest player that doesn't care about personal points as much as whats the best interest for the team... see any game and you will see what I'm talking about. The guy has only been in this country for like 5 months, and he's already this good.

Yeah, you're right, they do. And Jordan was the one exception though. Jordan was the best player ever. I'll make an exception for him..

Half the fun of any game is the sh1t talking.

I don't know about you, but when I watch someone get a mean dunk over someone, watching em just walk away and be "humble" isn't very exiting to watch at all.

agreeeed

After watching that like 5 times, all i gotta say is that looked nice.
all you Kobe haters gotta stop hatin' sooner or later.

It's up on ESPN now also. 🙂

Oh man, it looked like Kobe was off to the side of Yao's hand but ESPN replay clearly shows it going right over it. 😛
*shakes head*

After watching that I'd say it was a nice dunk, Poster boy material - Hardly. Yao barely made it back there in time for Kobe to dunk. Just my observation after watching it. And NO I am not attempting to take anything away from Kobe, he is an outstanding player.

yea, your boy Stevie Franchise is the pinnacle of modesty too, right?

He's the same type of player that Kobe is, very flashy, athletic and arrogant. Kobe's I'll grant because he is 24 years old and has 3 championships. He is the best player in the league. Stevie ain't got a pot to piss in in comparison. Slam dunk contest, woo

Kobe has the cred to back up the arrogance, the rest of the league is showboating with little to show for it.

I am a die hard Rockets fan. But I will give Kobe his due. He is the best player in the game and that dunk on Yao was awesome, even though Yao had not fully made it over to help defend. Props to Kobe, amazing dunk.

But the way this game turned out was really sad. The Rockets should have won this game. The last two fouls called on Yao were total BS. Even Charles Barkley was commenting on how lame those calls were.

The refs gave this game to the Fakers in overtime, and by that point without their big man, the Rox were done for in the 2nd OT.

the blocking fould that wasn't given to yao was BS...his left foot was out of the area, and his right foot was still moving in the area...that is 100% a blocking foul, not a charge...

and yeah, the last meet against these two teams, the flagrant and technical that wasn't suppose to be...that was BS..even admitted by the league it was a mistake....
