Kobe has 18 in 1st quarter

Kobe has a better shooting percentage than McGrady. (50% during his 35+ points streak, even when Shaq is out)
Kobe has a better 3 point shooting percentage.
Kobe averages more rebounds.
Kobe averages more assists.
Kobe averages more blocks.
Kobe averages more steals.

Pretty damn good, for teamates and an offensive strategy that doesn't fit him at all I'd say. And how many games has Shaq played?

"Kobe can be and, in fact, will be one of those great team players, but as we have seen, there is only one other great player with him; the other Lakers are terribly limited or, like young Kareem Rush, too young to be of help now."

But what if they centered their offense around him? Then he would take a majority of the team shots and, if the statistics work out, then he would score a whole lot of points

offenses were built around Larry Bird, Dominque, Dr. J, Karl Malone . . .

did they have better Shooting %ages than Kirlinko?

40 points, and a win against the Jazz! Go Kobe! 11 straight games of 35+ points (going past Jordan, only Wilt has more (33)), and 7 straight of 40+. Utah crowd actually starts chanting "Kobe, Kobe, Kobe" and "MVP, MVP, MVP" for Kobe. And that is from a crowd that REALLY doesn't like the Lakers, but that is respect of an amazing performance.

kobe barely got 40 points 🙂

also, that kirilenko statement... you can't just say if somebody shot such-and-such number of times they would definitely score 40+ points per game. just look at Yao Ming - amazing FG %, but not many shots. Kobe's almost always taking very difficult shots because that's all he gets. If he got 1 on 1 open 15 footers his FG% would definitely be up in the 60's-70's.

Over 35 actually. MJ had 10 straight, Kobe now has 11. But that also includes 7 straight of 40 plus, not sure what the record is for that. Kobe has a long way to go to catch Wilt's record for 35+ of 33 straight games.

28-25 and the have "the 2 best players" in the world, I know that Shaq and Kobe have benn hurt but please... they are the defending champions. I know that they will make the playoffs and probably win the championship again, but they will make it interesting on themselves.

he's doing pretty well. Barkley, that moron, was going on and on about how Kobe isn't making his fellow teammates (other than shaq) better.

What if they aren't any good to start off with?? I mean, seriously, how much better could kobe make them?? he had 7 assists last night.

I agree.. The whole team has been playing amazing these past 2 games.. I just wish they could keep it up.. 🙁 It seems like they just have their streaks when they do well, then they'll suck for a while.. But Kobe is always on point..
