Many people prob be better off mastering a game or something else. our information database can be accessed at will and the human brain has only so much memory. time is money and the NEET recognizes this indisputable fact

You never know if you'll need to apply it at some point in the future.

And in most cases, failure to apply knowledge means you're dumb and uncreative, not that the knowledge is useless.

Status zero have all the time in the world and no money. Your fact has been disputed and refuted. They are the empty vessel. Might as well learn something. What constitutes applicable knowledge cannot be determined for people with no direction, goal, or employment.

OP, you are incorrect. Knowledge attained forms new connections in your brain that allows better critical thinking and decision making even when it is not directly related to the attained knowledge.
