commonly known suggests often-used... which neither are...

Sure they are. Movie premieres are talked about in the media all the time. There's a car dealership in my city called Premier Auto Group.

You're right about the movie premieres.. which is why I thought any other spelling was incorrect. I thought it had two meanings (to be first/high quality). So that word is common, the other is hardly.

he he ya, I wanted to work in some more, but couldnt figure out how. my biggest pet peeve, that I see on the web a lot is when people dont know the difference between

"know" - "now" - "no"
and
"are" - "our"

When I see people who cant even get those right, it leads me to believe they are an uneducated 12 year old.
