The idea that terrorists hijacked planes and flew them into towers is a complete fabrication? I know people that live in NYC that are pretty sure that wasn't fabricated.

*sigh*
Attention... this is the context police !
I didn't say anything about the planes. I saw the video... I'm just saying that the government puts together a half-assed "commission" and don't fully investigate or even attempt to answer the many questions that remain after the fact.
I don't really care that they shot down flight 93.. probably a tough call to make. But what good is it to lie about the event?
Maybe I just have trust issues and find it hard to believe what people say when you don't know if they're just lying again.
I used to work with a truther. It doesn't matter what you show them, they won't believe. They're as bad as birthers, but unfortunately there's no birth certificate you can eventually show them to shut them up (though I guess that didn't work fully anyway).
The fact that there are Americans who feel and beleive their government would orchastrate such a vile act proves that there are some pretty fucking stupid Americans.
The Gulf of Tonkin Incident
The American commitment to the war against Vietnam, which killed over 50,000 U.S. military personnel, and probably over 2 million Vietnamese civilians, was cemented by an incident that appears to involve more fiction than fact.
In the Gulf of Tonkin incident, North Vietnamese torpedo boats supposedly attacked the USS Maddox in the Gulf of Tonkin, off Vietnam, in a pair of assaults on August 2 and 4 of 1964. It was the basis for the Tonkin Gulf Resolution, which committed major American forces to the war in Vietnam. The resolution passed the House of Representatives unanimously, and passed in the Senate with only two dissenting votes.
On December 1, 2005, the National Security Agency released hundreds of pages of previously-classified documents relating to the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident. The collection included a 2001 article by agency historian Robert J. Hanyok, which examines numerous reports indicating that the alleged attack never happened.
Uhhh...it really sounds like Rumsfeld was just looking for a verb there. Here's a guy proving that thermite can cut steel. I know that the debunking people did experiments pouring the thermite which quickly burns. This single guy crafts simple containers that show it's possible to cut a steel beam w\ thermite. I have to assume that a team of scientists and engineers could do a much more efficient job than some random dude in the woods.

Donald Rumsfeld letting it slip that Flight 93 was shot down. Proving that the whole "America F YEAH!" story about the passengers fighting back and what not was most likely a fabrication just like the Jessica Lynch story and just like the Pat Tillman story.

Who is crazier? People who speculate as to what could have happened? Or people who believe "official stories" which have been proven time and time again to be complete fabrications?
