I occasionally lok for books that discuss busienss over the past 100-200 years and I havn't found it.

I bascially want somethign that will go over all major events.

Like:
History of the automobile
History of the airline industry
great depression
tech crash

Things like this where they will discuss various topics, maybe 30 pages to each topic.

Anyone know of a book that is good? I'm not really looking for investing books, but books on business.

EDIT:

I strongly suggest A Social History of American Technology by Ruth Schwartz Cowan. It's a very well-written book that explains the rise of industrialization in America, broken down into specific areas, such as the power grid, the automobile, the assembly line, etc. Don't be put off by the title -- the book is a fascinating glimpse into the people that built the American economy from the ground up, how it all began and the issues our culture faced as new technologies radically changed our lives. More importantly, the book helped me grasp the almost biological processess that govern technological adoption and progress. After studying this text, the ways in which new technologies coming out today might change society or end up as resounding flops are much clearer to me.
