I've been using a Gyration Joystick with my Media Center PC hooked up to my TV for several months now and its worked great. Recently, the joystick quick working. I used it on several other computers in the house but it still would only work for a few minutes then quit. I took it to work and it worked great, and took it home and it was the same thing. My guess was that a neighbor must be using a powerful cordless phone or baby monitor and its blocking the Mouses signal.
A friend at work had an older model with less buttons and a larger USB transmitter. It also had several channel selections. I offered to trade and he agreed because mine was newer model. It turns out that this mouse must be on the same frequency because it doesn't work all the time either. I'd also like to mention that both Gyration keyboards worked fine with the USB transmitter reciever. I've been doing google searches and can only find the Gyration mentioned anywhere. I really like this type of mouse because I can use it like a wand in my easy chair instead of using a flat surface with other cordless mice. I mainly bought it because it was the only mouse with enough range to reach my Media Center PC. If you know of any other flying mice, or a cordless that reach at least 15 ft, let me know.
