A local radio DJ has got a big house near the village I used to live in...company I work for now supplies call handling, digital playout and phone systems to radio stations accross the UK so the engineers often meet DJ's and the like.

a friend of mine is a dj for a radio station here in Indianapolis for the 3-7 drive time slot.

I was a radio DJ and Morning Show Producer in Honolulu for a very popular FM radio station until our "sucess" killed us (we were so succesful, our competition biught us and shut us down . . . I'd say MISmanagement and a dictatorial if brilliant owner helped with the stations' demise).

Fun job, 'status job', poor pay (but good connections) . . .
