I'm looking for a professional landcape software. My friend is a professional landcape designer (not gardening) and he wants to get a professional landcape software that can do more than cheap 49.95 can offer. Building houses mostly.

I'm also looking for a software that I can type in specific location such as Downey in CA and I get a information about the land, climate, and things that matter when building a house. Is there such software exist? If there is, please tell me about it.

Thank you all

There is software for "Downey CA climate" and everything else you want to know about Downey. Just stick what's in quotes in Google. You can put it right on your taskbar, or whatever that thing is above the browser window.

I can't wait for 3D software you can walk through and plant seeds and watch them grow. Maybe you can try the Beta create your own world areas for the Dungeon Siege game. Maybe you can build a castle and put all the plants where ever you want. The game is visually beautiful, but I have never seen mushrooms, other than my own, that is, that big. :D

I see you are a relatively new member so perhaps I should explain that I'm somewhat insane so don't let my apparent lack of grip on reality bother you. Who knows, there may be a great business opportunity in Downey for castles in the middle of a forrest. An underground desert dungeon is also available. Is your friend into fun-Gothic?

Edit: By the way, a Google search for "professional landscape software" turns up some interesting possibilities.

You're welcome!
