knoppix 3.4 NTFS support ?

Q's for those who have tried knoopix 3.4

I read about knoppix 3.4 NTFS has support

does that mean that I can copy/write to NTFS partition ?

I have tried 3.2 and cannot copy files within parttiions...

Pls advise, thanks
 
With the 2.6 kernels you can both read and write, but I still don't feel comfortable enough with it to try it out.

Not sure if knoppix 3.4 runs a 2.6 kernel, or if it's even enabled, but you can always just compile the module.
 
Knoppix 3.4 can boot to either 2.6 or a 2.4.x kernel. It defaults to 2.4.x but you can opt for 2.6 when you boot up by entering a knoppix cheatcode.

As to whether or not Knoppix can successfully and safely write to an NTFS partition I can't say either, I'm a chicken. 😱 I only read from my NTFS partitions (mp3 and other media files are stored on a big NTFS partition and I don't want to corrupt the drive).
