AWESOME man! Thanks! Downloading NOW.

If they are running out of room, they should have a CD with the basics or a DVD version with the extras. That would be cool. I mean it support Centrino. Most of the new laptops come with a DVD-ROM.

I'm waiting for it to show up on Linuxiso.com to download it. I keep trying the knoppix website but I get timeouts.

I'll sit this one out for a week or two before Klaus and Fabian get it a bit more stable. There are some problems with the SCSI modules in the 2.6 kernel. The 2.6 kernel won't load without the -noscsi option.

Other than that, it's been great so far.

Don't like the new background though...😛

Ok, it's official. I really like 3.4. 🙂 I just love how KNOPPIX recognizes my NF2 chipset and autoconfigures my ethernet connection for me.

Did they drop Fluxbox in the 3.3 release, or just more recently in 3.4? I haven't used it in a while, but I swore 3.2 had an option to use Fluxbox as your WM.

Now why can't more of the distros have such great default support for NF2 chipset systems? In this regard KNOPPIX really makes the rest of the Linux distros look like chumps. Even the newest Mandrake doesn't support NF2 half as well as KNOPPIX.

I have used the 2.6 kernel with several different scsi controllers from LSI and Adaptec without any probs.

Another distro though.

Megatomic, Gentoo will work with NF2, other distros require some work to get it to work flawlessly.
