Since we had a bunch of car threads floating around, I thought a thread reminiscing of Knight Rider was appropriate!

I was wondering how many of you watched and loved Knight Rider? I sure know I did and still do!! I started watching it since I was 5 years old, and I'm 17 now!

Back in the days when it was still playing on TV, I recorded about 3 tapes worth of Knight Rider episodes! I watch those tapes often! I was wondering how come Knight Rider DVDs are being sold?? I searched on Amazon.com and CDNOW.com for Knight Rider but they don't seem to have it! :(

Also I have one clip of Knight Rider on my computer which has KITT doing his riding on two-wheels stunt. The clip is about 1 minute in lenght and is around 8MB in MPEG form. If someone wants it, please feel free to PM me and we can find a way for me to transfer it to you. Also is there anyway to convert it to RealVideo??

BTW, does anyone have clips of KITT in his new form as a convertible with those jets which become engaged in Pursuit mode? And you know he had those Orange flaps to slow him down from Pursuit mode??

Please feel free to share your memories about Knight Rider!

I used to like that series. Now that I know more about cars then I did back then, I think it's stupid.

I still like Airwolf though.

I liked Airwolf but I didn't watch enough of it to really enjoy it. I must have only watched one or two episodes.

Dukes of Hazzards was a different kind of show. Knight Rider is different from it. It's showing the technological prowess of KITT, while Dukes of Hazzards is more of a comedy with the General Lee being a tool instead of a character. KITT is a character in Knight Rider, while the General Lee is just a tool or prop.

Oh hell yeah!! Airwolf was always good. I still have like 6 or 7 vhs tapes floating around from when they used to run the reruns on USA network a few years back.

Knight Rider ........ahhhhhhhhh those were the days :)

There's a new Knight Rider movie?? Or are you talking about Knight Rider4000 where they had a new Pontiac Trans Am or Banshee car.

goto http://www.knightrideronline.com for some info on Knight Rider. It's a comprehensive site with lots of info.

Do we think we can somehow petition Universal Studios (who owns rights for Knight Rider) to somehow make a show based on it? Or make a really good movie on it? Or atleast release the best Knight Rider episodes on DVD?? Look how many special editions Star Wars tapes they have!! They could atleast have one Knight Rider one!

KARR = Knight Automated Roving Robot

Anyone know where I can dnload some episodes of Knight Rider? I'm only looking for the ones where KITT has the Super Pursuit Mode. That's in season 4. The first episode that has it is called "Juggernaut".

Where's NFS4?? I would think that he would have some input for this thread!

While it is not car-related, my favorite tv show when I was a kid was the A-Team. Mr. T was my childhood hero. :)

Knight Rider RULEZ!!! When I was a kid in Baltimore, David Hasslehoff was at the convention center at the Inner Harbor. He picked me up in his arms while my parents took pictures (and I can't for the life find them, afterall it was about 16 years ago).

Anyway, I got to see Kitt and the whole shebang.

And yes, Air Wolf rocks too. And so does Magnum PI, The A-Team, and Riptide (the one with the pink helicopter;))

Hey...David Hasselhof can act! Atleast in Knight Rider, don't know about Baywatch though..think he was too pre-occupied with *other things*.

When I get older, and if I have enough money, I'm gonna buy me a 1983 Trans-Am and make it look EXACTLY like KITT!! Even with the same license plate! Don't think I'll be able to model the interior though..or get Turbo Boost! :(

I've never seen A-Team before..but I do know who Mr. T is. What was A-Team about?

By the way, have you guys heard of a show or book called Street Hawk?? It is similar to Knight Rider, except that it's about a motorcycle and it cannot talk. The rider uses Street Hawk (the motorcycle) to help stop crime..ala Micheal Knight. The motorcycle can turbo-boost too!

Yes, wasn't Street Hawk a televisio series for a short while.

A-Team is a story about a bunch of ex Vietnam vets parading around in a black van rigging up booby traps and gadgets to fight the bad guys. Sorta like MacGyver x5.
