Knight Online is a Full PvP game, from what I've been told. Therefore its something I avoid like the plague.

Yes, good idea. Games like that are for real men! :)

Thanks for mentioning that MMO - I hadn't even heard of it before!

It looks pretty interesting, but if it's truly full PVP w/out any recourse for players who want a different experience, it may turn a lot of players away.

The point that its annoying having someone come in every thread and posting something that generally speaking, accomplishes nothing. Nothing happens when you post that except for people attacking you, you retaliating, and then the thread continues (as the thread i posted indicates)

Sure, they may be dipsh|ts, I wont question that. But really, with you posting links of where the proper forums are for each incorrectly placed post, what does it accomplish? Should they create the same thread in the correct one? No because that's not kosher.

I see your point of them being in the wrong forums, but hell... the moderators can move them to the correct ones for us. Maybe you should PM a Mod (unless you already are one, which I don't know) and ask if you can get special mod priviledges where they will let you move them to the correct forum instead of posting the link and getting into a flamefest.

But thats just my opinion, I could be wrong.

Ah, so now I'm also responsible for the choice of others in resulting flames in the few threads where folks actually complain? No. I'm not. I post a link. It's not my choice for others to start flaming me. Don't like it? Post in the correct forum.

The mods *can* move them or lock them, but they rarely do anymore because, frankly, there aren't enough mods and isn't enough time for them to focus on one forum like what needs to happen in OT.

Don't like my "suggestion?" Eat my shorts. :)

Again, I do not see what you are trying to accomplish through this. Obviously this method of yours to try to teach the members of ATOT to use proper forums is not working, otherwise a major chunk of the posts I see from you would be something besides a link to one of the forum categories.

Its just annoying to see posts that sometimes have substance (albeit in the wrong forums) only for you to post the link to the proper forum and then get attacked for it. Im not blaming you for getting attacked. Its not your fault. Again, it just takes away from the thread which could have had potential. Can you see the frustration?

The reason I made the "1. Thread that belongs in another forum" thread, is just because im tired. Im tired of having to read through 20 posts of constant back and forth bickering about "oh your a wrong forum NAZI" "Yeah well you spelled 'you're' wrong" type of dumbass arguments in between threads of substantial content. Thats why I proposed the option of cutting the middle man out.

Im sure you don't care that it frustrates me, as Im just 1 person (although I know im not alone). And I understand that. I dont expect you to stop. However im just bringing this up to let you know how this one person perceives what has been going on on the forums lately.

Again, maybe you could PM the mods to give you the power of just moving them. With the time it takes for you to post links to the other forums, you could just move it and let bygones be bygones.

Well I don't see what you're trying to accomplish by starting this thread either. Do you think your thread is going to get me to stop posting links to the correct forum? I hope not. Otherwise this forum boasts the same success as your description of my link posts.

You're right that I don't care that it frustrates you. I doubt you care when things frustrate me. I don't know you so I have a hard time sympathizing with you.

You know what, though? If I *could* lock or move threads, I would. I wouldn't be posting in them. When a thread gets moved, you get notification via email or PM (whichever you have selected in your profile) that it's been moved and to where. If it gets locked, well duh, everyone can see why it was locked in the first place. Hell I used to just copy/paste links to the mods via PM with threads that were in the wrong forum. They used to get locked shortly after doing so. However, one day they just quit locking the threads, like they were too busy to fiddle with it, which they probably are.

However, since I'm obviously not a mod, and the mods must be too busy to enforce something as trivial as this (even though the number of offenders is WAY out of hand), I will continue to post a link to the correct forum. :)

I'm really not trying to be mean, though. Why don't you start a thread targetting those who being throwing flames at those of us (yes, I'm not the only one, but nobody seems to acknowledge it) who post links to the correct forum instead?

Im not trying to be mean either. I havent called you any names or anything.

Like I said, I didn't expect you to care really. I started that thread and posted the link in this thread in hopes that you could perhaps stop doing what you are doing in these threads. Maybe PM the user that they posted it in the wrong forum? It'd just be nice to go into a thread (despite it being in the wrong forum) and not see "The Nik Variety Show" as I've dubbed it. That's not an insult towards you or anyone else really, as I know you aren't really doing anything to bring on the flames. But nevertheless, it happens. Don't get me wrong, I understand the logic behind what you do, but even though it may be the right thing, it comes with consequences for all the other members that aren't bashing you for it.

Understand it's not you I have a problem with. It's the post pointing to another forum and the bashing that follows it. It's just... really distracting trying to read these threads at times.

I'd support you 100% for limited Mod power to move the threads to proper forums, as you are right about them. I guess im just politely asking you to stop. If not, thats your perogative. I just think a PM would work better, without taking away from the thread.
