Knee popping out of the socket

This morning I was on my way out the door at work. When I got to my car, I turned my left leg slightly and my knee completely gave out on me. It pulled every muscle, tendon, ligament, and whatever else is in there. The pain was excruciating. My question is has anyone else had this happen before? This is the second time this has ever happened...the first being in July.

one thing, it is not your knee... it is your knee cap !! called subluxation of the patella...

you probably need a patellar tracking knee sleeve for a while.

last I heard you had a couple of Canadian Ortho docs in town, need to go see one of them. sometimes you need some surgery.

I've dislocated my kneecap before. You should see a doctor if you haven't - you need a brace. Once it happens to you, it can happen again since it takes a very long time for ligaments and tendons to heal.
