A better speaker system would probably be the BA4800's, they are so much of a better price and they do perform very nicely.

I have the 4.1's and they Rock my house down.
Highly recommended if you can afford them.
UT never sounded so sweet.

It really depends on what you're going for. Whenever you hear people talk about the Klipsch, the comments always go something like, "They kick ass!", "They rock!". However, I have yet to hear anyone rave about the actual quality of sound coming from the speakers. Don't get me wrong, they are good speakers and they can get deafening loud, so if you're looking for all out thump then by all means get the Klipsch. However, I have heard speakers which in my opinion produce a better sound than the Klipsch. I listen to a lot of classical music, so a natural balanced sound is more important to me than shear volume. To me, highs sound shrill and the bass is loose and boomy on the Klipsch. Take a look at the Boston Acoustics BA4800s. I have the BA790s and am very impressed with the sound; I'll probably be upgrading to the 4800s very soon. Plus, the 4800s are only $100 on bestbuy.com.....one third the cost of the Klipsch and I promise they'll get plenty loud. You could save yourself $200 and buy some other cool stuff like a Geforce2 Ultra, a new burner, or even a gig of RAM. :)

Yep, Klipsch ROCK! But, I don't want them to rock my house, I want speakers that deliver high-quality sound for a good price. That's why I went with BA4800 and they are plenty loud, I can never turn them all the way up, that's how loud they get. Of course, not as loud as Klipsch, but I don't want that regardless. If you want a great sound for the price, $100 for BA4800 is the best purchase you can make right now.

people never get tired of talking about their Klipsch. Buy 'em if you got the dough, but if the thought of $300 for computer speakers makes you flinch in the least bit...go with the BA4800's...thats what I did and I've never been disappointed.
