Not a bad deal

I wonder if one of those SWS woofers would enhance my 4.1 promedia set much?

-eddie

i think my 4.1 is kind of weak, (it may be slightly blown) so i might drop the 100 to get the SWS. OR just wait for them to completely break and get some solid 2.1 bose speaks

Anyone have the ProMedia GMX A-2.1? Too bad they didn't slash teh price on those, but I'm in the marter for a nice 2.1 setup.

get a klipsch non-gmx 2.1 set, it's a lot better. you can add a sws sub to it if you want. either new from hpshopping (cheaper than klipsch store), or refurbed from klipsch will do.

on a side note, that DD5.1 looks mighty tempting. it would be nice to use my ultras with my dvd player n' stuff.

I would suggest that you think twice. The darn thing can only do prologic I. Also, it runs pretty pretty hot!! It burns... usually an indication of low-end electronic component...

The speakers are nice though... I have no complaints...

yea, i noticed that as well. i hear that's the main reason why it isn't selling as well as a klipsch MM product should. Maybe Creative will pull something similar with their DD.

sweet deal... can you mount these on a wall?

That SWS is a good deal. I am buying one, and a set of 4.1's from a friend. I hope to have that sweet sound setup! Too bad I live in an apartment

I got the PM4.1s for $186 new from GameVE.com a year ago, what a great set. I haven't heard the GMX's, but I hear tell they aren't as good.

I just ordered the 4.1's from ECOST. Later next week I am going to get the SWS sub. - I can't wait

Kinda ot, but anyway... I had a set of 4.1's for about 2 and a half years that i blew the controller for...the back of the sub would heat up really bad and there was hissing from the control pod even though they sounded fine. Klipsch sent me a brand new set for a $50 repair charge, even though they were well off warranty. I was quite impressed, it took maybe 2 weeks and they were more than helpful. I would definitely recommend klipsch stuff, as it was absolutely my fault they broke in the first place.

I tell my employees at work, that it makes all the difference when someone has great customer service. Or when a company goes beyond the call to make the customer happy. There are only a few places that I hear about with that kinda service. Klipsch, and Newegg come to mind.

You're kidding about the bose speakers right?

bump this up so others can see it. maybe if they sell more, they will be encouraged to sell stuff like this more often

as I'm in a country which has default voltage at 230v instead of those 110v in US, so, I wonder can anyone advise whether it's possible to use those universal transformer on this online ordered Kilpsch which would be 110v, and thus, there would not be overloading on the transformer or even possible ruining the Kilpsch??? or can I request for such original replacement of the input voltage to 230v? Thank you.

just found out, the speakers on ECOST are backordered. So might take a couple weeks to get them.
