I'm about to purchase all the parts for a new system of mine(I'll post another thread later for your comments) and I was interested in the Klipsch Promedia v.2-400 speakers. I heard about the new Promedias coming out, and was wondering if I were to buy the v.2-400 along with the new ProMedia CP-1: Control Pod Preamplifier, would I get the same performance if I were to just buy the new Promedias that are coming out, but without the weight?

In other words, are the new Promedias the same as the old, but with the new control pod preamp?

the new promedia's supposedly will have new crossovers. the cp1 preamp doesn't do anything to the old klipsch's as far as i've heard, other than fixing the static problem and adds a headphone jack.
