I run the Klipsch 5.1's optically off my xbox via a Klipsch DD 5.1 decoder and all I can say is....Klipsch rocks.

I am also a big fan of Klipsch. I don't have either the 5.1 Klipsch or the Logitech but I own a bunch of Klipsch stuff (ProMedia 2.1s, KLF-20s, KG 1.5s, KSW200 and KSC-C1) and am very pleased with all of it. So I would definetly get the Klipsch.

The Klipsch forums are plagued with users complaining about their 5.1s blowing the amp after a few months of usage... Go read the forums for some details. http://forums.klipsch.com.

However, the Logitech's are not without fault. They currently have a hissing problem that has been identified and supposedly fixed, but they are still figuring out how to release the fix to everyone.

Klipsch is the king of speakers for computers. Best Buy should have them on display for you to play around with. Go test them out and see for yourself.

I'm one of those guys who had Klipsch 5.1's that blew an amp...

I'll STILL recommend them. Great speakers, rich sound.

If you're going for just sound quality, Klipsch is awesome.

Logitech Z-680 is also pretty sweet, and it costs less (I think). Go with these if you want good speakers for less money.
